FAQ

How long until I get my new steering wheel?

For in-stock steering wheels, we will typically have your order boxed up and shipped out within 24-48 hours after it is placed.

For custom orders, historically 97% of Carismo builds achieve a completion date between 5-8 weeks. However due to the nature of custom builds, promising a completion date is inherently difficult. Time variables such as purchasing of an OEM core, raw material back-orders, and other factors that occasionally fall outside of our control can influence a build’s timeframe. In rare cases, a build can take as long as 12-14 weeks to complete. If this is not an option for you, please consider an in-stock purchase instead. We cannot guarantee meeting deadlines for personal or show-related reasons.

Once your steering wheel leaves our shop, transit times for domestic shipments are anywhere from 1-5 business days depending on location, and shipping speed chosen. Transit times for international shipments vary mainly due to customs clearance times of your country, however most international shipments arrive to our customers within 3-10 business days.

Do you ship internationally? What am I responsible for?

Yes! We ship worldwide. Shipping quotes are calculated based on the address that you enter at check-out. If there is an issue getting an accurate shipping quote automatically on our site, please don’t hesitate to message or email us directly, and we will be happy to quote manually.

Please note that you are responsible for any customs related taxes or duties, as these vary by country.

I can’t find my vehicle on your site. Can you still build me a custom wheel?

Absolutely! We can build a custom steering wheel for ANY vehicle. Please send us a message or email with year, make, model of your car AND a steering wheel picture of the original steering wheel currently in the car. We will be happy to assist!

Can I have any shape and thicknesses for my custom build?

We take big pride in our R&D time and effort invested for an ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing design, for all of our steering wheels. You can rest assured that our designs are superior choices as far as comfort and security, especially for spirited driving.

That said, if you have a custom request for a shape or thickness of wheel, we will try to accommodate you as much as possible. Please understand that limitations still exist based on where plastic parts and buttons of the steering wheel connect with the frame. Outside of that, your imagination can run wild when it comes to a fully custom build!

What’s included in the box when I buy a Carismo wheel?

Carismo steering wheels are sold as “core-only”. This means, the circular frame of the steering wheel that holds all plastics, electronics, buttons, wires, and airbag is what you are actually buying from us. All of the above small-parts simply get transferred over from your original steering wheel during installation - this is standard installation procedure.

The only exception to this, is when you purchase a decorative trim piece that replaces your original trim, or Carismo paddle shifters, that replace your original paddles.

If your steering wheel happens to arrive with buttons, wires, or any electronics when you receive it, these are deemed complimentary and simply there for the visual aesthetic of unpacking the steering wheel or photography beforehand. We insist that you discard these, and re-use your original components during installation of your new steering wheel. We cannot be liable for donor buttons / components that you decide to use during installation, as these are not tested or confirmed to work.

How do Carismo LED shift light steering wheels work?

Carismo LED shift light steering wheels come as two (2) components: the steering wheel itself, and the OBD2 module.

The Carismo LED steering wheel communicates wirelessly over bluetooth to the Carismo OBD2 module, to receive and display ECU data, such as RPM.

To provide the LED steering wheel with power, finding a reliable source of 12V and ground using a multimeter is required. Occasionally, the running of custom wiring through the clock spring may be the only solution for certain vehicles that do not have an adequate source of 12V power in or around the steering wheel.

Each vehicle requires a unique wiring solution to achieve a reliable power/ground combination, which is why professional installation by an experienced technician is absolutely mandatory. Remotely troubleshooting an LED installation is impossible, and we recommend you ensure that you have a shop/technician that is confident they can handle the installation, before placing your order, as LED steering wheels are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Can I visit the showroom to see a steering wheel, or discuss a custom build?

Absolutely! We offer showroom visits by appointment, Monday through Friday. Please feel free to book an appointment here and we will be happy to show you around.
