Return Policy
We love what we do, and that’s why it matters to us that you to love your new steering wheel.
Due to the nature of custom and made-to-order manufacturing, returns are possible only for a small range of in-stock-products.
For your peace-of-mind, in case there is a problem with your custom steering wheel that is not caused by you, all of our products are at minimum eligible for repair or exchange, and in certain instances, store credit - if there is an issue, and a refund is not possible (Store credit may be issued at Carismo’s discretion and may be subject to expiration or non-transferability.). We want you to know that we will not leave you hanging. In case of an issue, it is our promise that we will find a way to make things right.
If you run into a problem, please contact us via email for assistance. Hiccups happen - that is the nature of any business - but what sets Carismo apart is how we handle hiccups when they do occur. As fellow car enthusiasts, we aren’t here to just sell you a product. We are here to be excited with you on the journey of modding your car. That is to say - we care and won’t leave you hanging.
This is the Carismo promise.
Please understand that frivolous cancellation/return/exchange attempts will not be entertained. These include situations such as, but are not limited to:
- Totaling/Selling/trading your car while a custom build is in progress
- Buyers remorse / change of heart
- The house-elf who stole the cash for the balance of your wheel from under the mattress
- An angry spouse that found out about spending money on car parts
- Clearance / Sale / Display (scratch and dent) items
Custom & Made-to-Order Products (IMPORTANT)
Custom and made-to-order products are manufactured specifically to the customer’s chosen specifications.
Because these products are customized:
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL once production begins
- cancellations are not permitted after production has started
- refunds are not issued for custom builds
- restocking fee policies below apply ONLY to in-stock products
Exceptions apply only in cases of verified manufacturing error or compatibility error caused by Carismo (e.g., incorrect core used, confirmed manufacturing defect, etc.).
We will always repair, rebuild, or replace products where fault lies with Carismo.
Production Start & Irreversible Manufacturing Costs
Once production begins on a custom or made-to-order product:
- raw materials are allocated
- structural components are modified
- labor hours are committed
For this reason:
- custom builds cannot be cancelled due to personal timelines
- custom builds cannot be cancelled due to urgency changes
- custom builds cannot be cancelled due to failure to review turnaround times
Turnaround times are disclosed throughout our website, product pages, and policies prior to purchase. Failure to review production timelines does not qualify as grounds for cancellation or refund.
Return / Cancellation / Restocking Fee (applies only to in-stock products):
The following restocking fee structure applies ONLY to in-stock products and inventory-spec steering wheels. It does NOT apply to custom or made-to-order builds:
The restocking fee varies based on the cost it takes us to put our product through a QC cycle to confirm it is fit for sale, which varies for every wheel.
IF YOU ARE NOT 100% CERTAIN YOU ARE BUYING THE RIGHT PRODUCT, CONTACT US FIRST. From the second you place an order, costs are incurred, and therefore you ALSO will incur a variable restocking fee of up to 50%. Ordering the wrong product does not miraculously undo the costs of processing your payment, preparing, packing or shipping your order.
1. If the item has not been shipped: 5% restocking fee. (This simply covers what we had to pay the merchant processor to process your payment).
2. If the item has been prepped and packed: 25% restocking fee.
3. If the item has left our possession (shipped to you): 25-50% restocking fee.
These fees allow us to operate the business and offer a competitive price on all of our products, without punishing the customers who do not need to cancel, return, or exchange anything by higher prices across the board.
While we trust the customer who claims they “just received the wheel, and did not even open the box, so its brand new”, in the end it is our name that stands on the product, and after we receive it back, the next customer deserves to have a peace of mind that a product previously returned and put up for sale again is indeed damage free. This includes invisible damage such as micro stress-fractures, and hard-to-see splining/mounting damage which is verified via a QC cycle that costs manpower and labor - hence restocking fees are not-negotiable.
Vehicle Compatibility Terms and Conditions:
A photo of your steering wheel and other vehicle information is REQUIRED after checkout (you will receive a confirmation email after ordering, with further instructions). Your order will NOT be processed or fulfilled until we receive this information. We are not responsible for incompatible products due to customer sending us a photo that is not a real photo of their car (e.g., photo from the internet, or a photo of another car, assuming it is the same as theirs). A restocking fee of 30% (on top of other applicable fees) will be charged for compatibility-related exchanges if the photo and/or vehicle information we receive is not correct.
